Description
One of a kind handbuilt porcelain mug with a slightly textured and variegated surface on the outside and a smooth glazed inside surface. Each mug comes out in a burst of colors with slightly different tones and patterns.
The outside of the mug is unglazed porcelain whose extra treatment with terra sigillata and various metal oxides in a special saggar fire created an amazing effect akin to variegated marble. The special firing revealed a mix of yellows, browns and dark teals blending together in a swirl of colors.
The inside surface has a soft dark teal glaze to match the outside. The mug features a comfortable one-finger handle and is perfect for sipping tea or coffee (up to 12 oz).
Food and microwave safe. Handwashing recommended.
