Description
Original handbuilt rectangular porcelain bottle (13″ high). This bottle’s wide surfaces (both sides) are decorated with lines and cubes in a cascading design. This design was done by a ceramic technique of inlaying black underglaze into the white porcelain (also known as ‘Mishima’). The design is protected by a soft orange glossy glaze that contrasts with the textured white crackle glaze on the side surfaces of the bottle. The foot of the bottle is slightly recessed and coated with black terra sigillata. The inside of the bottle is glazed and water tight.
